I can’t think of any great books. The rich people keep the real secrets to themselves. I can say don’t buy anything by Kiyosaki. Suze Orman is for kids.

Start with Personal Finance For Dummies and then Investing For Dummies. They are excellent starters.

There is a lot of good personal finance information on the internet for free. You can read about my favorite personal finance website here:

My Top Five Best Personal Finance Books are the following (be sure to check them out from the library to save money, or if you decide to own any of the books, buy them used from a website such as half.com):

    1. Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez. This book absolutely changed my life!

    2. Personal Finance for Dummies by Eric Tyson.

    3. The Only Investment Guide You’ll Ever Need by Andrew Tobias.

    4. Investing for Dummies by Eric Tyson.

    5. Taxes for Dummies by Eric Tyson, et al. This one may come as a surprise, but there are a lot of ways to legally save money on your taxes (such as contributing to retirement funds).

    Finance books:
I have a friend who is a CFA and he really likes these for general personal finance:

    Motley Fool:

Bach’s Smart Couples: (all of his stuff is pretty good)

    Unique approach to finance:

    More technical look, but good:

    Good luck
