You’re too kind, but Bush doesn’t deserve your thanks for the money problems we have. This crisis was put underway by Clinton, when he removed all restraints from the banking industry and then encouraged them to make loans to people who couldn’t pay them back. As a matter of fact, John McCain warned the Dems in Congress that this was coming, but they laughed at him. As far as dumping the dollar, Obama has made that a lot easier since he printed a lot of worthless money with nothing to back it up. Lots of children right now are being educated without a school system – they’re called home schoolers – and statistically they test out far in advance of those attending the government-financed public school system. Don’t understand why you think turning to religion is only for poor people, might interest you to know that a lot of wealthy people believe in God. When there is less to go around, people tend to be more compassionate, not less. Read up on the Great Depression.

Their economies are dependent on the USA being healthy. If they dump the dollar they only hurt themselves.
Wake up, the republicans are the people who contribute to charity more than the liberals, so in reality the right is a lot more generous with their own money, not with other people’s money. The level of compassion and generosity from the right probably will only change if they do not have money or time to donate. So considering this, I would assume it would be the left who would be happy because it would create a situation where more people would depend on the government.
In 2012 with 25 million unemployed Americans and another 25 million underpaid, paid less than they once were, having been run through the unemployment wringer, or in fear of losing their jobs there is going to be problems for the ruling class.
At some point these people will realize what many of us already know, that whatever subjects they teach at ivy league colleges, economics isn’t one of them.
The Democrats are pretty likely to take a real beating. They won’t be able to hide their incompetence behind the Republican’s incompetence. This won’t be the 1930s when Americans ignorant of economics could be fooled by the lies of someone like FDR.
