According to the article “Know the value of your designer wardrobe!” very few of us are put off shopping for designer clothes by the credit crunch. Women who shop (and men, though not so many in comparison,) cannot and will not be deterred by silly obstacles such as lack of money!

What makes a person shop till they drop even in the face of an ever-shrinking overdraft facility? Is it because we all feel we need to ‘keep up with the Joneses’ or that we need to reward ourselves for struggling through a difficult month? The determined shopper needs no excuse.

One thing the insurance companies have noticed is that in most cases fashion purchases are left off the accumulative values of our contents insurance even though a winter coat could set us back the same as a wide screen television!
